Mark Moultrie was raised in the sections of Gwynn Oak and Woodlawn area in northwest Baltimore. Mark listened to all genres of music from Rock, Soul, Pop, Hip-Hop, House, Latin, Afro beats etc. At the age of fourteen Mark started djing with a childhood friend Andre McKnight. (Andre later formed a hip-hop group in the 90.s called Sparrow)
At the age of fifteen Mark received DJ equipment from his parents and later Mark weaseled his way into his first club at the legendary Club Odell.s. There he experienced club music which is now considered house music. The dj there played a record entitled .Like This. by Chip E. and the crowd went insane. That's what got Mark hooked on this music called house.
Mark Moultrie.s first gig was at Soca.s palace from there he began to play numerous spots in the city and also Washington DC. Mark has been featured on 88.9 WEAA, 88.1 WMUC, DC Sanctuary and Mirrors, and has held Residencies at The Paradox, Our Place (Buns) and Ricardo.s Pavilion in Baltimore.
Mark Moultrie was also a member of several organizations i.e.; Baltimore Housing Authority and the Norfolk Housing Project. Now Mark is currently with the Soul Stew family providing the Washington DC . MD - VA Metro area and the world with the best in underground house music via the internet. Also mark takes part in the Collective Minds and Vintage Vibe events in Baltimore and Washington DC respectively.
